Maintenance Manager

Raised in the Land of the Long White Cloud (Aotearoa), Nigel journeyed from fixing tractors to managing teams in some of the wildest work environments you can imagine. After completing an automotive engineering apprenticeship focused on heavy equipment, he took his talents to the beautiful shores of Samoa and the rugged landscapes of Papua New Guinea. Fast forward 30 years, and Nigel has crisscrossed Australia with his young family, working up through the ranks from fitter to manager across all states and territories.

Nigel’s career spans surface and underground mining, civil construction, quarrying, and agriculture—basically, if it involves machinery or dirt, he’s probably had his hands (and maybe a few tools) in it. He takes pride in having implemented robust maintenance management systems that not only keep things running smoothly but also empower his teams to strive for excellence. He has even managed to change workplace practices and improve safety—no small feat when you’re surrounded by heavy machinery

When he is not leading teams or strategizing improvements, you can find him enjoying 4WD adventures, camping trips, and pursuing self-sufficiency—activities that reflect his commitment to both personal growth and environmental stewardship.
